Cultivating a Healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit with Yoga
The purpose of this one day retreat is for participants to experience wholeness of body, mind and spirit through yoga. Participants will learn how to cultivate good health practices, engage in stress reduction exercises, and use centering prayer to bring wholeness to one’s spirit. Participants will practice yoga as a physical connection to their spiritual relationship with God and others.

Presenters:
Cheryl McFadden, Ed. D., an associate professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at East Carolina University, has worked as an educational consultant both in higher education and the public and private school sector. Her research interests include principal preparation, program evaluation, leadership styles and behaviors, online education, and civic engagement. She has presented her research at over a hundred state, national, and international conferences and has published over 30 articles and book chapters in these areas.
Susan D. Koepp, NP, E-RYT 200
Susan is registered with Yoga Alliance and a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers
Association. Her formal training was received from Discovery Yoga, a Kripalu affiliate studio
under the tutelage of Deva Parnell and Christopher Baxter. She studied with Elizabeth
Holliday Hill an internationally certified teacher who mentored the teachings of Swami
Satyananda Saraswati. Her teaching style is traditional Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on
alignment and safety. As a Nurse Practitioner with 30 years experience, Susan's goal is to
encourage good health practices through yoga. Yoga can help people reduce stress,
strengthen and stretch their bodies and bring balance into their lives.
