Wellness Programs - Personal Training

           Heather's background in exercise physiology and mental health can help you overcome obstacles to regular exercise, get you started on a safe and effective exercise program, and give you tools to stay motivated to exercise for life.

Personal training options primarily available in the Raleigh NC area are:

Walk and Talk – improve your emotional and physical health by combining a traditional counseling session, with a walking exercise program.

Short term – 3-5 sessions to help you get set up on a safe and effective exercise program that you will continue on your own.

On-going – weekly sessions to help you stay motivated to exercise regularly, and to provide variety to keep your workouts fresh.

Train for a race – select a goal race, from a 5K to marathon, and meet weekly for 3 months to help prepare for this event. Clients will be given a training regime to follow for each month.

Trainer:

Heather Brewer, LCSW, specializes in the relationship between mental and physical health and how they impact one another.  She has her master’s degree in social work and is a licensed clinical social worker.  In addition, she has a master’s degree in exercise physiology and is an American College of Sports Medicine certified Exercise Specialist.  Heather has 15 years of experience addressing health and mental health issues.  Her focus is to assist clients in finding balance in their life and help them maximize both their physical and their emotional health.
